MEB Asistan is the second AI-based virtual assistant launched in partnership with the Turkish Ministry of National Education. Built on the CBOT Platform, it answers questions from students, teachers, parents, ministry staff and every stakeholder of the education system in natural language, 7/24, on the Ministry's official website meb.gov.tr.

## Challenge
The Ministry of National Education answers to millions of students, teachers, parents and staff on a huge range of topics, from scholarships and equivalence procedures to exams, legislation and BİLSEM. Finding the right information often meant navigating the website and browsing through different menus. The Ministry wanted a single, always-available point where anyone could simply ask a question and get an accurate answer.

## Solution
Following the success of EBA Asistan, CBOT and the Ministry launched MEB Asistan on the official website meb.gov.tr. Built on the CBOT Platform's natural language processing and machine learning, the assistant understands questions written in everyday language and answers them 7/24, crawling the Ministry's published content so its answers stay current.

## Results
Launched on 23 June 2020 and presented to the press in August 2020 with Minister Ziya Selçuk, MEB Asistan gives students, teachers, parents and all citizens instant access to Ministry information without searching the site. Within its first nine weeks it was already handling a growing volume of unique users and dialogues across topics from exam and placement results to school schedules.
